Not much has changed but they live underwater
I picked up this hot little piece on eBay probz about a year ago now. It used to have these massively wide and long shorts on the bottom, but I chopped them off and made bubble shorts. Fun! I so feel like a boy scout when I wear this, although I have no strong desire to go camping...
Anyways, the movie was really adorable and I loved it. It takes a lot to get me to laugh in movies, but I definately loled a few times. I don't know why but I loved the fact that Ponyo is obsessed with ham.
Like any fashion obsessed youth, y'all know that I be lookin for some styyyle in this shiz. Observation #1: Sasuke's FEROSH haircut. He would totally fit right in at Paris fashion week. Maybe just wear a bit more black and throw in some chains. BTW, Sasuke is pretty much the same name of the girl in My Neighbor Totoro. I mean, Hayao Miyazaki can create these incredibly detailed and magical worlds with creatures and so many vibrant characters, but he can't think of another name for the leads in his movies other than "Sasuke"?? Alrighty then Miyazaki, if that's how you roll.
Observation #2: Mad jelous of this little girl's look. My friend and I simultaniously said "I want her outfit!" when we saw it. I don't know what it is that's so fly. Maybe it's her Gaga bow.
Observation #3: Ponyo's dad, Fujimoto, has awesome makeup and a powerful look going on there. The whole time I was watching this I kept thinking of HOW MUCH he reminds me of Bowie. SUCH a good thing.

But everyone shows me faces
ARE THESE NOT THESE THE EXACT SAME BOOTS?!?
The question is, who did it first? Hmmm. I'm betting on ol' Jeffrey to the be the copycat. I've just got a feeling.
Personally, I like the Alice + Olivia ones better. Not to mention their attractive price tag of $49.99 US... versus the $198 Jeffrey Campbell model. In the end it doesn't really matter to me as here in the middle of nowheresland Canada, both are far FAR from reach.

Two out of three ain't bad
DIY fail.
I had used poster paint, which came right off in the wash. Tried it again, this time with super potent outdoor paint. So far, so good. BUT I haven't put them in the wash yet so we'll see how these ones hold up.
This is customisation #2 for these leggings. #3 is on it's way...

Just can't get enough
I'm going to be selling some of my homemade pieces online, so let me just give you a quick sales pitch while I've still got your attention. This epaulette is great because it can be attached to any top or jacket. There are two pins on the bottom, the kind that wont scratch you. Plus, most of the materials I use are recycled, and of course each piece is 100% handmade.
I think this is really to compensate for the empty feeling that I've had since I saw these FREAKING INCREDIBLE military coats at a stall at Portobello market when I was in London. Some of these coats were over a hundred years old, and they were all so amazing. I wanted to go back to buy one, but never got a chance to! Seriously, I'm still feeling the regret.

Besties
We've all heard the saying "opposites attract", but do you think this is nessesarily true? When it comes to my friends, I am most definately the odd one out. None of my close friends have taste even remotely similar to mine! Nevertheless, I know from experience that similar taste does NOT equal a lasting friendship.
Either way, how adorable are these matching besties??

The dumbing down of love
The weather is STILL being crap and ridiculous, so it looks like it's going to be a crafternoon weekend. Anyone else working on any projects at the moment?? Maybe I'll take some bedroom shots after I'm finished organizing everything, if anyone cares to see. I'm quite proud at the state of my closet right now, it looks ever so neat and tidy. Let's see how long that will last...
p.s. - Stephen won PH's my new BFF!! Go Stephen, I love you!

Filling our bathtubs with t-shirts and 8 x 10's
Can I just say, I want every one of these outfits:
These girls are from South Korean girl band called 2NE1. Not really feeling the song (although I do love me some trashy pop tunes), but giiiiirl you cannot deny that they've got some bangin style.
AND they hook up with Big Bang in some of their tunes! So cheesy, yet so very very good.
Still, these chicks cannot compete with my home girls Puffy Ami Yumi. They are still two of my TOP fav style icons, and most def my top Asian obsession. I mean, I even own their dolls for goodness sake!
The wallpaper that was on my old, clunky PC about 6 years ago. Still awesome
One of my favorite music videos of all time: "Joining a Fanclub"
All 2NE1 pics from here, and all Puffy AmiYumi pics from here.

All of your street light eyes wide on my plastic toys
Did I just write a whole paragraph about tea? Ummm, anyways...
I made another fringe top this week, this time grey. I know, one black and now one grey?! What can I say, I'm the adventurous type.
I made the top for a Threadbanger competition that I entered, so fingers crossed that I win!
I've been kind of, I guess you could say, "cleaning" my room. Really I'm just sifting through all my lovely junk. By doing this, I realize that I've got A LOT of pictures/magazine cutouts/drawings that I'd love to put on my wall. I've got a few things up right now, but just taping things up looks horrible:
Urrg, see what I mean?! Nasty.
So, does anyone have any bright ideas for me on how to display all of my little snippets?
That is all for now, weheartit is calling me...
