Jeepers...

Yeaaah, BE JELZ! I've been shopping around online for months to find the perfect creepers, and I finally found just what I was looking for on Amazon. I ordered them quick snap, and now they're home safe and sound. I am so freaking happy with these bad boys, they are rad-ness taken to a whole OTHA LEVAAAAL!

Excitement for me = tons of pictures for you. Be grateful, you are in the presence of holiness... in shoe form.

Stitch me back, one by one

Got a spare 10 minutes today? Good, then I demand you to get your butt over to Paperdoll magazine and ch-ch-check it out! This online magazine, completely created by wonderwoman Jade Warren, is full of lots of juicy fashion, music, and art features, many of which are close to my heart... i.e. Insight, Twilight, and well, myself!
Jade e-mailed me a while back asking me if I'd be interested in answering a few questions for the soon-to-be-launched Paperdoll Magazine. I agreed, wrote back, and boom! This masterpiece comes my way. I love the whole vibe of Paperdoll, it's so fun and creative and bright! It's also very readable and not "stuck up" like some other magazines I tend to come across.

If you want to check out my page its on 48, you can get directly to Paperdoll issue one here! I blabbed on quite a bit because I figured just snippets here and there would be used. All the questions I answered ended up being featured, full uncut and uncensored. Be sure to check out the other stuff in the issue too, you won't be dissapointed!

For my first unveiling of Toronto shopping spree goods, I give you my very FIRST pair of drop crotch pants. I don't even care that they're not very "cutting edge" anymore because they are just waaaay too fun! These bad boys I found at H&M, hidden in some forgotten crevice on the top floor. Score for one for me!

The shoes I bought at Winners, originally from Nine West. I love the heel on these shoes, and they feel great. The clear glasses are from Urban Outfitters (where else!?), which are pure heaven on a stick. I love them big time. These are clear wafarers number two actually, the first vanished in a rather long-winded story. All very sad, but it's in the past now cuz I got me some new ones!!
Perhaps I will introduce you all to my lovely family of sunglasses soon, they've been dying to meet you. I think I'm going to make a huge wall display to show them all off, they're all my babies. My shoes too! Sorry my children! I love you all equally.

Just Like Heaven

I'm back from a 2-day quick trip to Toronto, so fast I didn't even have time to post it! Didn't even know I was gone, didja? I'll explain later about why I was there, pssst it's a super fun secret (!!!). In the mean time you will be happy to know that I just about fainted from joy in the 3 floor H&M, spent way too much money, and have sore bruised-up arms from all the shopping bags I lugged though the airport. Fuuuuuun times!
I found plenty of amazing stuff, but I think I'll make you all squirm and show it all slowly, one by one, savouring every moment. Mmmmm, clothes.
Observe, the mountain of glory!

I could not resist picking up the GQ with Robbie on the front. Really, does he NEED to be so bloody alluring!? ...Vampire pun not intended. Turns out the Winnipeg airport has pretty good magazines, I found NME (which I've been searching for for months) and I bought an i-D with Miuccia Prada on the cover... and Jethro Cave inside! Too, too good.

I wasn't the only one getting back from a trip, my little brother just got home from a school trip to Japan yesterday. He's so precious, he brought me back a magazine.

I didn't think he'd bring me anything, but as he so heartfully put it : "I dunno, I just saw it and it was all... fashion and stuff so I got it for you". How cute is that?! Although I wouldn't have said no to some Lolita/Fruits/Cosplay gear...

Creative Juices

Hey y'allz. I've got nothing better to post, so here's some drawings I've done lately. They're of two amazing bloggers who used to have a blog together called Little Bag of Cocaine, but now they've gone their separate ways and each have their own equally fabulous blogs.

Iris from Tr-tr-trickle, the sweetest most adorable girl ever! Amazing outfits, incredible photography, and she has the quirkiest hobbies!

Pieter from Half-zebra Half-human, such an inspiring blog with seriously profound photography and GREAT fashion!

I love drawing fashion bloggers because they all have such different personalities and senses of style. It's just so much fun trying to recreate a unique spirit in a drawing, or any art form. I hope this summer I'll get to do a lot more drawing, painting, photography... anything creative really.

What do you want to do more of this summer?

I tried to do handstands for you

This post was meant to be on Easter, but c'mon... it's me, nothing will ever be on time. Nevertheless, this is my "springtime" outfit. Quite appropriate, no? Just about everyone at my family's Easter dinner commented on the tights: "It looks like you 've tatooed your legs!", "What's that, tights?", and my favourite courtesy of my Mom "If you look really quickly it looks like your legs are all bruised!". Thanks Mom, that's exactly the look I was going for.

To accompany a spring/Easter post I wanted to make a collage, an "inspiration board" if you will, of all things drilled into my head for the coming months. After I finished it I realized, this isn't very cheerful, is it? I thought I'd make a wonderful explosion of florals and bright colours, but it looks like it's going to be a dreary springtime for me. Dreary in a good way!

I'm a silly little girl and never save my picture sources, but this is what's all here:
- Robots in Disguise "The tears"
- Norwegian movie called "Mannen Som Elsket Yngve"
- Ellen page on a movie set
- My future husband from Hel-Looks
- Completly sourceless picture... but look at those freakin awesome creepers!
- Knitwear from MKNB
- Way too cool jumpsuit girl found on Still in Berlin
- Lovefoxx in Pop magazine from 2007
- Complex Geometries shirt... MMM made easy
- Harry and Tom from Mcfly, looking fly circa 2006/2007
- Stylish girl found on some ebay shop
- Movie "Gigantic" staring the sexy, sexy Paul Dano and "I'm much too cool" Zooey Deschanel
And if you didn't like any of that, here's Pingu. Sure to brighten anyone's day

I love them Hollywood birds

You all should feel very lucky right now that I'm posting, as I'm currently drowning in all the work I have to do for uni... only untill next saturday though! Almost done, already! It literally feels like I started about a month ago, and a whole school year has gone by!

Enough with that nonsense, y'all want some clothes! Am I right?

I want to share this vest I "made" last week while "watching" SNL last saturday... did anyone else find it to be one of the most horrible episodes ever created, or was it just me? At least I worked on this awesome vest. Basically I just cut off the sleeves of this bomber-type jacket that I bought secondhand a while back. It was a two-piece set with the high-waist trousers I showed you a few weeks back...

The jacket was a kind of strange shape in the arms, so I made it into a vest in order to actually get some wear out of it. I quite like it now, it looks kind of like a motorcycle vest but in buisness suit grey. What a lovely mixture

If you also want to convert an ill-fitting jacket it's really simple! First put on the jacket, use some tape to show where you want the shoulders to be cut, then also mark where you want it to go under the arms:

Next, lay the jacket down flat and use a marker to draw the curve from the shoulder to the underarm marks. To make sure the other side is exactly the same, I cut out the curve on a piece of paper and then traced it on the other arm. Sometimes you'll get lucky and have seams on the arms, but if the jacket is like mine then you'll have to decide for yourself where to cut.
Pin the front and back of the jacket together before you cut, that way the front and back will have the same curve. Now cut cut cut
In other news (i.e. boring anecdotes about my life), I was searching for a quiet space in the library yesterday and found the strangest, most secluded place I've ever been in. This library is one of the smallest on campus, but it has has multiple levels and a lot of twists and turns. Anyways, I went up some stairs I found at the back of some stacks, and they lead to a tiny 2nd floor that I didn't even know existed, overlooking the main study area. There was only one desk there, and it was so incredibly quite and beautiful. I cannot describe this place to give it justice, it was just really cool, like I found a hidden secret area all of my own.

What else to do but take pictures of myself. Yesterday's theme was schizo-granny! I was quite amused.

Redheads do it better

Please excuse me, but I need a single post to be an incoherent fangirl:
Ahhhhhhhh, digfl/;$#dkjfl&#clkajo#%D#@!!!

I will ty to convince myself that this is a "fashion related post", but really I just need to gush! Some of you may have heard of a new movie coming out called Cherrybomb, set in Belfast it's the story of a love triangle between two best friends and the new-girl-in-town that comes between them. The movie stars Robert Sheehan, Kimberly Nixon, and Rupert Grint.

I really didn't want to bring my personal obsessions into this blog, but I am absolutely IN LOVE with Rupert Grint! Besides this minor fascination, Cherrybomb looks like it's going to be an incredible, and not to mention stylish, movie. The overall look and feel of the movie is very unique, judging by the photos released so far, and the clothes are making me drool!

I especially love Luke's (played by Sheehan) wardrobe. The concert tees, the leopard print blazers, the charm necklaces, I love it all! Reminds me of Mika come to think of it...

I'll let the pictures do the talking, as my head is in a flurry of excitement and I can barely put together a single thought at the moment because the trailer was just released!

I've literally been logging on to Rupert Grint fansite every single day since December, waiting for this trailer to finally come out. I just about peed my pants when I saw it tonight just a few hours ago... of course I find it whilst trying to write a paper that was due a week ago, which I am totally not doing tonight. This is more important!

Anyways, check out this trailer but be aware that it's quite raw and if you are younger/faint of heart/do not want to have a tainted image of Ron Weasley, then do not watch it! I'm pretty shocked there is so much raunchy footage in just the trailer, but hey, I'm not complaining!
